Introduction:
It is true that parents have given more freedom to their children than ever before. 如今家长给予孩子多自由。From my point of view, this trend has both positive and negative effects. 我认为，这个趋势有好有坏。
Body 1:
On the one hand, there are various benefits for children to have more independence. 一方面，小孩子拥有自由有很多好处。Firstly, by being allowed to make their own decisions, children could become more independent, which is considered as a beneficial factor in their academic research life and career development。首先，让他们自己做决定可以让孩子变得加独立。独立性是在他们学术生涯和职业发展中的有利因素。To put it another way, children under such parenting style could greatly improve their ability of logic thinking and enhance interpersonal skills. 换句话说，在这种家长教育模式下的孩子能够极大程度地增强他们逻辑思考和社交能力。Secondly, compared with young people who overly rely on their parents, those who always make their own minds could gain more opportunities to be involved in a rich variety of activities and therefore have a broader view of the world. 其次，和那些过分依赖父母的孩子相比，那些总是自己做决定的孩子会有多机会去参与多活动，因此他们对世界的认知广泛。
As a result, these young people could adapt to the society when facing difficulties in an adult working environment. 所以，这些年轻人在未来面对困境的时候，能够适应这社会。

On the other hand, potential problems that are certain to arise as children are given certain freedom could not be ignored. 但是反过来说，孩子给予自由也有许多不可忽略的问题。First of all, since most of children lack self-control, they could have no knowledge about what is more important for themselves. 首先，因为大部分孩子都缺乏自控能力，所以他们不知道什么对他们重要。This is the main reason why many young people get addicted to video games, which could cause damage to their emotional health in a long run.这就是为什么很多年轻人会对在长期会伤害他们身心健康的电脑游戏上瘾的主要原因。Another major concern is safety. 另外一个是安全问题。For instance, nowadays, many criminals are intentionally targeted at young children, especially those who stay out at night.举个例子，现在很多罪犯故意以孩子为目标，特别是对那些夜不归宿的孩子。 Considering above arguments, it is necessary for parents to set certain rules or even some punishments in order to regulate their children’s behaviors, so that good habits could be developed and safety could be ensured. 综上所述，家长有必要去制定规则甚至是惩罚措施去约束孩子的行为，这样他们才能养成好的习惯并且生活安全。
Conclusion
In conclusion, allowing children to have more freedom has certainly some benefits, but not all of the outcomes of this trend have been positive. 总的来说，给孩子多自由肯定有好处，但是这个趋势也有坏处。
