Take two engineering graduates who are similar in terms of their talents and academic performances for example. One is in charge of important projects as well as having a chance to display his own as supported by his boss, thus maintaining his enthusiasm and becoming very successful in his career. Unfortunately, the other is confined to his bed with a serious illness in the initial days, which directly deprives him of career opportunities so as to achieve nothing years later. Therefore, luck, to some extent, does play a vital role in the successful life. 主体段2：However, in many cases success grows less and less dependent on luck. Without great effort and ability, there is little possibility for someone to achieve their goals. If one referred to above with luck is incompetent in his work and makes no effort to focus on his projects, it will be impossible to seize the opportunity to succeed even if he gains more support from his boss. Moreover, diligence and determination should be highlighted on one’s way to success.
