南京朗阁托福词汇之“人工消雨”

Zhang Qiang, deputy director of the Beijing Weather Modification Office, told China Daily that "artificial rain reduction" measures were in place for the National Day celebration, during which President Hu Jintao will give a speech and the military will parade past the Tian'anmen Square.

　　北京市人工影响天气办公室主任张强在接受《中国日报》记者采访时称，已做好准备在国庆庆典期间采取“人工消雨”。在庆典中，中国国家主席胡锦涛将致词，军队将在天安门广场举行阅兵仪式。

　　在上面的报道中，artificial rain reduction 就是指“人工消雨”，是指向云层发射rain dispersal rockets(火箭弹驱云)，来驱散 rain belt (雨带)。Artificial rain reduction 有两种实现途径，一种是让雨提前下，一种是让雨“憋着不下”，但其原理与 artificial rainfall/precipitation(人工降雨)类似。

　　Artificial rainfall 也是通过类似途径来实现 cloud seeding (云的催化)，它们同属于 artificial weather modification (人工影响天气)的范畴。国庆庆典当日，北京将有30 percent chance of rainfall (30%的降水概率)。
